How much land do people own in Thailand? A study by the Local Action Group, States Without Borders, a non-governmental organization that researches and collects land title deed data from the Information Technology Office of the Department of Lands, found that the largest group of investors owns 630,000 rai of land.

One of the largest land plots owned by the Sirivadhanabhakdi family is in Cha-am District, Phetchaburi Province, totaling approximately 12,000 rai, and another 15,000 rai in Bang Ban District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province.
The second largest is the Chearavanont family, led by Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont, Chairman of the Executive Committee of Charoen Pokphand Group, which operates integrated agricultural businesses under the CP Group and land development businesses under the CP Land brand, and the Magnolias Group. Telecommunications company True Corporation owns at least 200,000 rai of land, with the largest plot, approximately 10,000 rai, in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province.
Third place is United Palm Oil Industry Public Company Limited, a major palm oil company in the southern region. Owning over 44,400 rai of land.
Ranked 4th is the Crown Property Bureau with 30,000 rai.
Ranked 5th is IRPC Public Company Limited with 17,000 rai.
